The Heartbreak of the Easter Reese's Chocolate

Growing up in a strict Eastern European household, you would think they would maintain the classic traditions of giving Easter baskets and chocolate. But... not this year! My parents always played favorites between me and my 9 years younger sister. So, when I called to ask about the chocolates her response was, " Oh well.. you see.. your sister is on a diet and therefore, we won't have any chocolate this year." My heart was shattered. Tears rolled down my eyes as I walked the streets of Jackson Heights. How could they do this to me? I had never been more disappointed in my family in my life... only to find there was more disappointment to be had. After much negotiation and temper tantrums done by a 28 year old going on 5, my mother agreed to get us chocolates. Easter morning, I received my bag filled to be with what I thought were my beautiful, loving, creamy, filled with joy Reese's Peanut Butter cups. Only to be met with the real disappointment of my life. As I took a bite, I heard a crunch. I tasted pretzel. I thought to myself what is this blasphemy! Only to learn.. Reese's wasn't my creamy Reese's no more. Reese's just released a new Peanut Butter Cup - Pretzel ( link attached ). It brought upon me the greatest sadness I had ever felt. For those who don't know, I'm obsessed with peanut butter. I eat it every day and have 5 pound jars in my pantry via amazon because ( prices at grocery store are toooooo high ). If I have ever made a plea in my life, its to never have this again. #PROTECTTHECLASSICREESESPEANUTBUTTERCUP
